Severus sat alone, alone as usual. He was shopping for his school supplies when a couple Gryffindor students came and started messing with him.
Severus now sat eating a ice cream sundae by himself. He watched people pass him, laughing with friends and family. He couldn't help but be envious.

Daniella had just come out of the book store down the street, her head turning this way and that to smile at the adult witches and wizards who knew her. She decided to head for the ice cream parlor before heading up to the Potions shop from refills for this final year. Daniella entered the ice cream shop and paid for her usual caramel vanilla swirl. She walked towards a table nearby and placed her bags beside her to began to eat her treat.

Severus looked up once he was done with his treat. His eyes landed on a Gryffindor girl and he couldn't help but sneer. It was true about the rivalry between the two houses, well there were rivals between all houses but Gryffindor and Slytherin was just plain vicious.

Daniella looked up to see a nearby Slytherin student and just smiled back. She didn't care and was that Severus Snape? She looked up again to get another clear picture at him, greasy hair, pale skin, yep it was. Daniella knew he had a thing for Lily, but why was he sneering at her? She decided to let it pass. It was the rivalry between the houses none of the less.

Severus sighed, he knew who she was. She was friends with Lily. He was sure Lily and that bastard Potter told her all kinds of stuff about him. Severus sighed once again and looked out the window. Just his luck.

Daniella knew that Lily wasn't with Potter at the moment just casual friends with him. She knew that by the looks of it that Lily was probably going to get James next year, but she doubt it. James was in a group of pranksters and Lily wasn't. Daniella fished out a small folded letter from Lily that she had written end of last year. Daniella finished eating and picked up her things,"Here, Lily told me to give you this letter if I saw you." she said when she stopped by his table,"Don't be so quick to judge about Lily yet. She's not with anyone that you think of." Daniella placed the small folded up letter on the table before she went to the trash can.

Severus watched the Gryffindor girl come over to him and set something on the table. "What is this?" He asked quietly then heard what she had to say and watched her walk away. He turned back and looked at the letter. He sighed some and touched it but then brought his hand back. Did he want to read it? Did it matter? Was it really written by Lily? Did Potter or his goons have anything to do with this? He sighed again, all these questions were in his mind and he couldn't think of any answers.

Daniella sighed,"It's from Lily. No tricks." she said to him when she came back. Daniella then went on to where some of her other house friends were setting at.
